Sr. Analyst, Finance & Corporate Analytics
The Sr. Analyst, Finance & Corporate Analytics reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This is an opportunity for someone to establish financial processes and reporting for a fast-paced, high-growth technology Company. We are Private Equity owned and growing very rapidly. This person will help to build out the Finance function in order to support the execution of the business, including the effective support of client financial analysis needs and job costing analysis.
Responsibilities
- KPI and Corporate financial reporting and modeling
- Ownership of the budget and forecasts
- Use data analysis to translate analytical and financial concepts to business stakeholders and leadership
- Effectively gather and synthesize data, conduct research, and summarize conclusions in order to produce actionable results
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to formulate and complete projects that include data gathering, analysis, and reporting
- Operate as an analytical consultant to internal and external stakeholders on critical initiatives
- Use analytic data to improve business processes as well as internal / external application workflows
- Harness data and formulaic model development in order to identify predictive patterns and drive proactive operational actions
- ROI modeling for Products and development projects (e.g. new features)
- Maximizing visibility and predictability of revenue and sales conversion to revenue
- Support commercial team with pricing analysis and proposal review
- Identify opportunities for cost management and reduction initiatives to align with company strategic goals and improve overall company contribution margin
- Provide and utilize forward looking models and activity based financial analysis to provide insight into the company’s operations
- Recommend and implement processes for scaling our systems and processes
- Support Accounting team in the month end close process and financial audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA Desired.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a progressive finance role in a software or financial services company
- Experience working in a Private Equity owned business is required
- High attention to detail and level of accuracy
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills
- Tech-savvy and experienced working to establish integrated processes and systems
- Strong data analyst skills
- Ability to think strategically
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Strong communicator. Must able to work effectively with Senior and Executive-level management, including the board and investors.
