PRIVACY – KNOW THE RULES
Safety and Privacy Can Coexist
A safer street should never cost a community its privacy. This belief shapes how every Altumint program is built, from what information exists to when it is destroyed.
Safety Matters. Privacy Matters. Both can exist together.

What Our Programs Actually Do
Our programs are event-based. A record is tied to a defined traffic-safety event at an approved location, not to ordinary travel. Technology identifies potential events, but people decide the outcome—every event is reviewed and approved by your safety partner before a citation is issued. This is a tool built for one purpose: safer streets.
THE FRAMEWORK
Four Questions Every Community Should Be Able to Ask
Transparency means welcoming the hard questions. Here are the four that matter most, and how we answer each one.
What creates a record?
LIMITED PURPOSE
Tied to a defined traffic-safety event
Information supports an authorized traffic safety program at an approved location, and nothing more.
Why does the information exist?
DEFINED RETENTION
Kept only as long as the rules require
Applicable law, program rules, event status, and data type govern how long information is kept.
Who reviews it?
DEFINED ACCESS
Only authorized, documented roles
Documented permissions control who can access information, and a person reviews every record before a citation.
When is it destroyed?
REQUIRED DESTRUCTION
Deleted when governing rules require
Each program’s governing rules define when information must be permanently deleted.
Local Rules Always Govern
State laws, municipal codes, dynamic permits, and contract terms govern safety programs. Your local program guidelines are the authoritative source for specifics.
