Baldwin Police Department Partners with Altumint to Strengthen School Zone Safety and Restore Public Confidence

Baldwin Police Department Partners with Altumint to Strengthen School Zone Safety and Restore Public Confidence

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Baldwin, GA — November 5, 2025 — The Baldwin Police Department has selected Altumint, Inc. to take over, manage, and operate its school zone safety camera program, reinforcing the city’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and community safety. The partnership is built on a shared belief that programs protecting children and families should be operated with fairness, accuracy, and respect for the public.

The decision follows a review of the city’s existing school zone safety program and a desire to strengthen service reliability and citizen support. After evaluating options, Baldwin officials prioritized working with a partner that values accountability, quality, and open communication.

Altumint’s team has already begun working closely with Baldwin’s leadership to ensure a smooth transition. Altumint’s field team is already on-site preparing equipment and processes to ensure a seamless handoff and continued protection for Baldwin students and families.

“Public safety and integrity go hand in hand,” said Chief Chris Jones, Baldwin Police Department. “When we evaluated our options, we wanted a partner that understood the importance of treating citizens fairly, maintaining transparency in every process, and providing responsive service to both our department and our residents. Altumint has demonstrated that commitment from day one.”

The company’s programs are designed to protect communities without placing any financial burden on law-abiding taxpayers. Through its advanced visual technology and data-driven approach, Altumint helps law enforcement reduce speeding and improve driver behavior in school zones and other high-risk areas.

“Our role is to help agencies run programs the right way,” said Jason Norton, CRO of Altumint. “That means maintaining integrity, providing clear communication, and being fully accountable to our clients and their communities. We’re proud to support Baldwin as they continue prioritizing the safety of students and families.”

Altumint will manage all aspects of program support, including data verification, citation processing, and responsive citizen engagement. The company’s commitment to service and collaboration has been key to its partnerships across Georgia, where similar programs have achieved measurable reductions in speeding and safer outcomes for children and families.

The partnership was made possible through a referral from neighboring Banks County, where officials spoke highly of Altumint’s professionalism and responsiveness. That trust between local agencies underscores a shared mission across Georgia to improve roadway safety through responsible, transparent, and community-focused solutions.
